Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to use STCKD, including people who use a screen reader, larger text, zoom or a keyboard. This is a voluntary statement about where we are today.
1. Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, for:
- the website stckd.app, including its legal pages; and
- the STCKD iPhone app.
2. Current status
The website and the app partly meet WCAG 2.2 AA. This is based on our own review of the code, not an independent audit.
What already works:
- The website has a skip link, a set page language, a clear heading structure, text labels for the logo, and it allows pinch-zoom.
- In the app, pop-up sheets and confirmation dialogs are marked up as dialogs for screen readers, and each has a button to close it.
- The one picture in the app (the share card preview) has a text description.
3. Known limitations
- Some input fields have no accessible label. A screen reader may only read placeholder text, or nothing, for these fields: email and password on the sign-in screen, several calculator fields, some vial and supply fields, the dose field when you log a dose, some schedule fields, a field on the log screen, and the two password fields on the website's password-reset page.
- Zoom is blocked in the app. The app currently stops you from pinch-zooming its screens.
- The app does not follow the iPhone's text-size setting. Changing the text size in iOS settings (Dynamic Type) does not make the app's text larger.
We have recorded these issues and plan to fix them. We will update this statement when they are fixed.
4. The law
As a microenterprise that provides services, we are exempt from the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882). We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA anyway, because it makes STCKD better for everyone.
5. Tell us about a barrier
If something in the app or on the website is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us at support@stckd.app. Let us know:
- what you were trying to do;
- where it happened (the screen or web page);
- what device, and any assistive technology (such as VoiceOver), you use.
We will reply within 14 days. If you need information from the app or the website in another format, ask us and we will try to provide it.
